Say ‘No’ to Complacency and Passivity
If you embrace the popular motto, “let there be peace, and let it begin with me”; if you live by the famous saying, “I dream of things that never were and ask why not”; if you are willing to say no to complacency and passivity and make a difference; if you want to be a participant not an observer, then your place is with us. Just let us know. I truly believe that because of you, the ordinary citizen who gives private diplomacy power, the future holds great things for the cause of peace.
Whether you are an Arab, Israeli, Muslim, Christian or Jew, there are opportunities for everyone to help generate the long-sought conflict transformation in the Middle East and bring peace to this region. No effort is too limited or too personal to contribute to the larger strategy. Any step towards a secure and lasting peace is a safer alternative to the spiral of violence. Remember, however, talks do not create peace, actions do, as the Bible teaches us: “Seek peace and pursue it” (Psalms 35:15).
